Voltmeter/battery capacity indicator setting
If You have ordered the voltmeter separately, You may need to adjust its parameters for it to function correctly after installation on the motorcycle.

1. Basic settings
Follow these steps to set th
e battery type and number of cells connected in series
Make sure, that the magnetic kill switch is in OFF position (magnet NOT attached).
Press and hold the
Setting button (left)
and turn the motorcycle ON (magnet attached), then release the button. The letter
P
,
F
or
L
will be blinking and the device is waiting for You to set the battery type.
By pressing the
Setting button (left)
several times set the battery type:
P
for
Lead-Acid
battery
(12 V per cell)
F
for
Li-Fe-PO4
battery
(3.2 V per cell)
L
for
Li-Ion
battery
(3.7 V per cell), which is used in all 48V KUBERG motorcycles
Confirm Your selection by pressing the
Function button (right)
. The number parameter will be blinking and the device is waiting for You to set the number of cells connected in series.
Press the
Function button (right)
several times to set the ammount of cells in series to
13
. Because 13 x 3.7 V = 48 V (nominal voltage) and 13 x 4.2 V = 54+ V (fully charged).
Turn the motorcycle OFF to save the basic configuration.
Turn the motorcycle ON and now You can toggle between functions using the
Function button (right)
.
2. Special settings
Follow these steps to set the special settings:
Make sure, that the magnetic kill switch is in OFF position (magnet NOT attached).
Press and hold the
Setting button (left)
and turn the motorcycle ON (magnet attached), then release the button. The letter
P
,
F
or
L
will be blinking and the device is waiting for You to set the battery type.
Press the
Function button (right)
once to switch to cell number setting.
Press and hold the
Function button (right)
for 2 seconds to switch to special settings, until You'll see the "
S - 1
" value on the LCD, then release the button. Now You can change the following functions. Each function can be set
ON
(black bar graph visible) or
OFF
(black bar graph NOT visible)
S1
- automatic LCD data (bat. % and bat. V) toggle every 2 seconds
when the function is ON
// manual toggle (bat. %, bat. V and sleep state) using the Function button (right)
when the function is OFF
S2
- automatic sleep after 10 seconds
when the function is ON
// permanently showing the data
when the function is OFF
S3
- backlight ON (OFF in sleep state)
when the function is ON
// backlight OFF
when the function is OFF
S4
- not used
S5
- not used
Press the
Setting button (left)
to switch between function S1 - S5 and press the
Function button (right)
to either set the value to
ON
or
OFF
.
Turn the motorcycle OFF to save the special settings.
